Longbow Golf Course Review
May 11th, 2008If you are traveling to Arizona, consider playing Longbow as one of many fine desert courses in our wonderful state. What I like about Longbow is that it manages to be user friendly whilst still being a challenge for the experienced golfer.
And of course, it has great beauty. A desert lanscape with mountain views can, at times, take your breath away. It was designed by the renouned Ken Kavenaugh.
There are four sets of tees at the par-70 Longbow Golf Club, ranging in length from 6,750 yards to 4,890 yards. Most players use the championship tees at 6,222 yards.
The greens play hard and fas, so approach shots are very important. The first hole is a straight 365-yard par 4. Keep your tee shot in the middle of the fairway to get a good approach shot to the green.
Longbow Golf Club definitely is a ‘must play’ course.
