Don’t Forget Water Filtration In Kitchen Remodels
April 6th, 2009In the middle of remodeling your kitchen? You probably are spending thousands of dollars and have forgotten one of the most important features- a undercounter filter for your drinking water. Most of have water that is supplied by municipal water supplies that miss a lot of contaminants and removal of chlorine. Yuk! Nothing worse than bad tasting water. Imagine inviting over your friends to see your new kitchen and serving them tap water! Forget bottled water as that is very expensive and those plastic water bottles aren’t so great in our landfills.
We got the Aquasana filtration system. The model we purchased is the Aquasana AQ-4501undercounter filtration system. Cost was less than $175 dollars delivered from Better Water Store in just a few days. We got the deluxe system with a designer finish faucet in Brushed Nickel to match our new finishes in the kitchen. Hook up was super simple and we had filtered water flowing within minutes. The cost of the filtered water (Underwriter Laboratories certified) is less than 9 cents a gallon! What a savings over buying bottled water at between over $1.00 to $4.00 a gallon.
