The Lancelot sword was carried by Sir Lancelot, of the Knights of the Round Table. Tales of his victories by King Arthur’s side can be traced back the the 13th century. Sir Lancelot was one of the central figures in around the tales of King Arthur’s adventures in Camelot.
Sir Lancelot was first introduced by writer Chretien de Troyes in the 12th century. In Chretien’s earliest work the name Lancelot appears a knights at King Arthur’s Round Table. He was always in his tales from the very first volume but gained in importance as sequels surfaced.

Couples travel from around the world to enjoy Oregon romantic honeymoons because the state has so many honeymoon options meeting a wide variety of tastes. For couples seeking city life for their honeymoon, Portland is one of three to consider on the west coast, along with Seattle and San Francisco. The advantages of Portland are incredible nearby scenery in a town that is accessible – compare that to continually gridlocked Seattle, which is a great city, but nearly impossible to navigate. If you go to Seattle – stay downtown near Pikes Market so you can walk to everything. Otherwise, you might as well go to LA and hang out in the freeway parking lot. San Francisco is an awesome city as well, with reasonable trolley cars to get around during the day. All of these cities are excellent choices. Read the rest of this entry »

If you are traveling to Arizona, consider playing Longbow as one of many fine desert courses in our wonderful state. What I like about Longbow is that it manages to be user friendly whilst still being a challenge for the experienced golfer.
And of course, it has great beauty. A desert lanscape with mountain views can, at times, take your breath away. It was designed by the renouned Ken Kavenaugh.
There are four sets of tees at the par-70 Longbow Golf Club, ranging in length from 6,750 yards to 4,890 yards. Most players use the championship tees at 6,222 yards.
The greens play hard and fas, so approach shots are very important. The first hole is a straight 365-yard par 4. Keep your tee shot in the middle of the fairway to get a good approach shot to the green.
Longbow Golf Club definitely is a ‘must play’ course.
